It's always fun when you realize your lyrics don't even have the correct number of syllables, and the song you thought was about looking out for your family is actually about a school shooting. Just kidding, it's not fun at all... but you knew that didn't you...

I thought it was a drug reference. I know that you put some drugs in lines to use them, and you roll some. Combine those two and you have "1999" by: Prince

Now, these were not my misunderstood lyrics. However, it does lead me to wonder why someone who sang this song, this way, would agree to sing it in front of 300 summer campers. I guess the other voices might have drown out the mistaken vocalist. But many probably walked away wondering why she was pointing to her shoe, the way in which she was (how's the grammar on that last sentence?).
